Meet Dr. Steele

My name is Dr. Kurt Steele and I am a partner in a four-doctor, two location practice that historically was a two-doctor, two-location practice. After graduating from the Southern College of Optometry, I was blessed to join Dr. Jeff Foster in practice. He was truly a hero of political optometry and one of the most underrated optometrists in the country. Sadly, my mentor passed away on August 28,  2020 due to COVID. I take comfort in knowing he was looking down from above as we passed $3 Million in 2022 and $3.5 Million in 2023.

I enjoy the business of optometry. I have grown our rural practice (with lots of help), assisted other practices through lecturing and follow-up calls, and have even negotiated the transition of a few practices. I decided on the name “Legit Vision” because this is not hypothetical information- these are things I have real experience doing. They helped to grow our practice, and they can help grow your practice too.

What I Can Do for You: Along the way, I have built three new facilities, purchased a practice, and hired several associates who have since become partners. I have also helped appraise and sell practices for other optometrists. My goal is to make your road as straight and simple as possible. We can grow your practice and add doctors in a way that is mutually beneficial for all doctors so when it’s time to slow down or retire, it’s an easy transition preserving the independent practice. Leveraging my experience, we can make a plan to see you reach your ideas of success. Reach out to see if I am a good fit for your practice. Each practice is different, and we can tailor make a program for your practice to ensure success.
